1. Does Pawphant track my pet's live location on a map?
No. Pawphant does not include cellular hardware or continuous GPS map tracking. Instead, the collar includes an optional physical Tag bay designed to hold an AirTag-class or certified Find My tag. When you use a compatible tag, location lookup is handled directly by your phone's built-in system Find app—not by Pawphant.
2. Why is there no monthly subscription fee?
Conventional trackers charge monthly fees because they maintain a cellular SIM data plan inside the collar. Pawphant connects directly to your existing Home Wi-Fi indoors and your phone's Bluetooth (BLE) outdoors, eliminating cellular carrier costs altogether.
3. What happens when we go outdoors or out of Wi-Fi range?
When you walk together, the collar connects to your phone via BLE so your pet's 3D twin reflects outdoor walk and run states. If your pet is temporarily away from both Home Wi-Fi and your phone's BLE range, the collar caches posture transitions and skin-temperature trend slices in onboard flash memory and syncs automatically as soon as it reconnects.
4. Does Pawphant work for cats as well as dogs?
Yes. Because we removed the bulky cellular modem and speaker hardware, the sensor capsule stays compact and lightweight. Combined with our soft elastomer band and safety breakaway buckle, it is comfortable for both dogs and indoor cats.
5. Is Pawphant a medical or veterinary diagnostic device?
No. Pawphant is not a medical device. Activity, rest, scratching, and skin-temperature views are relative lifestyle trends compared against your pet's own personal baseline. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or veterinary condition. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for health concerns.
6. How are my privacy and household data protected?
The Pawphant collar has no microphone, no camera, and no continuous street-level route logger. It records only motion state transitions and relative thermal trends to animate your pet's 3D twin and compose your private household pet diary.
7. Is the collar waterproof?
We are engineering the sealed capsule and magnetic pogo-pin charging interface to an IP67 target, protecting it against splashes at the water bowl, rain walks, and everyday dust.
